new hat

So I've decided that not being able to find my size three needles is a sign that instead of starting a new project I should finish a hibernating one. And since I do have all of my size two needles and it is starting to get chilly, that means the stripey lace rib knee socks.

And since I mentioned my super cute hat, here's a couple photos. I think Paul-John looks good in a pom pom but he is a little resistant...

This was my first project with cables, and they turned out to be pretty simple, which pleased me. Overall everything about this hat is perfect - I had wanted something with more whimsy than the million of plain beanies I have, and I look forward to wearing it soon!
